A Nassau County police officer was injured in a collision involving a patrol car last night at around 7:20 p.m. in Baldwin.
The officer, of the First Precinct, was in stable condition at a local hospital, police said Thursday morning.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Church Street, according to police. The officer was the only person in the car.
Police said the crash is under investigation. No other details were immediately provided.
A source with knowledge of the incident said the officer has been released from the hospital.
