The Baldwin High School step team performed on stage at the Concerned Parents of Baldwin’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Jan. 15.
Victoria Rose Feeney received a Humanitarian Award from the Concerned Parents of Baldwin and a Certificate of Recongnition from Town of Hempstead Councilwoman Erin King Sweeney.
Children from Lenox performed “Seize the Day” during the show.

Members of the Lenox Drum Ensemble performed on Jan. 15 at the Concerned Parents of Baldwin’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was celebrated around the country on Monday as a man who played a vital role in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s. The Baldwin School District celebrated his life and his birthday last week with its annual program that consistsed of performances and speeches.
The Concerned Parents of Baldwin has hosted the event since 1982, which features students of all ages — from elementary to high school.
Following the performances, a reception was held and elementary students’ artwork was displayed.
