A Freeport man was arrested in Roosevelt last Friday and charged with three counts of public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child. According to Nassau County Police, Freddy Peralta, 27, from Rutland Road in Freeport, exposed himself to three young girls on three different occasions in Baldwin and Uniondale.

Police said the first reported incident happened on Feb. 14 at 2:10 p.m., at the intersection of Schreiber Place and Washington Street in Baldwin, where Peralta allegedly exposed himself to a 13-year-old girl. Two weeks later, on Feb. 28 at 2:20 p.m., at the intersection of Grand Boulevard and Hayes Street in Baldwin, he exposed himself to an 11-year-old girl, according to police.  Prior to his arrest, on April 11 at 4:15 p.m., on Summer Avenue in Uniondale, he also exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl, officials said.

Recognizing a pattern in Peralta’s acts, the police, with the help of a Baldwin resident’s home surveillance video, were able to identify the car that he drove as a white 2016 Hyundai Tucson, with a spare tire on the front left side of the car.

The investigation led to the arrest of Peralta on April 13 in Roosevelt. He was arraigned in Nassau County District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.  By press time on Monday, Peralta had not posted bail of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. Peralta’s attorney information was also not available. He was due back in Part 5 Court on April 17 at 9:30 a.m., after press time.

Detectives are asking any possible victims of Peralta to contact the Nassau County Police Department’s First Squad at (516) 573-6153.  All callers will remain anonymous.
