Town of Hempstead officials paid a visit to Baldwin High School recently to congratulate the girls’ varsity basketball team on its 2014 Nassau County and Long Island Class AA championships. The TOH presented a sign to the coaches and players to commemorate their accomplishments. Under the leadership of Tom Catapano, the team hopes to win back-to-back titles in the 2014-2015 season. There will be 11 players back from last year’s championship team, returning this year to lead the quest for consecutive titles.
