That fast-talking traveling salesman, better known as The Music Man's Harold Hill, comes to Long Island, when the Tony Award-winning musical is performed at Tilles Center, Friday, Jan. 21, at 8 pm.

Everyone will be charmed by this renowned Broadway musical that has captivated thousands for more than five decades with beautiful, hummable music and the classic story of love that can transform the hardest heart.

An affectionate paean to Smalltown, USA of a bygone era, The Music Man follows Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying musical instruments and uniforms for a boy’s band he vows to organize – despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the town librarian, with chaos ensuing as the townsfolk get wind of his scheme.

Hear those enduring favorites including "Ya Got Trouble," "Seventy-Six Trombones," "Goodnight My Someone," "Gary, Indiana," and "Till There Was You."

Tickets are $65, $50, $40; available at (516) 299-3100 or (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com.
