Milburn Lake transforms into Christmas village

Passengers aboard a carriage drawn by two white horses enjoyed a tour of Baldwin.
Carolers and trumpet players, wood carvers and ice sculptors all converged on Milburn Lake, behind the Coral House catering hall, for the past two weekends to create Nassau County’s version of a Christmas Village.
The winter wonderland consisted of music, vendors and demonstrations of timely skills such as making gingerbread houses and decorating cookies and stockings. Scores of revelers and shoppers were sated with hot cocoa, cider and merchandise.
The event kicked off Dec. 10, with the lighting of a Christmas tree, and Jolly Old St. Nick put in appearances to the delight of young and old alike.
