A local ambassador for the organization, Paul Hastings, accepted a $15,000 donation from the Nassau County Police Benevolent Association. “It was an awesome turnout,” said Hastings, “and it was a more than generous donation from the PBA.”
The Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization whose goal is to empower wounded servicemen and women and to offer help through programs and services.
The picnic included good food, live entertainment and raffles.
