Stepping Out

The other side of Jarrod Spector

The Broadway star goes it solo in his cabaret show on Saturday

On Stage

Jarrod Spector

Broadway’s young star, currently playing legendary songwriter Barry Mann in “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,” Broadway’s new mega-hit (for which he was nominated for a Tony Award this year), is ready to delight everyone with his musical gifts in his acclaimed cabaret show, “A Little Help From My Friends.” Spector’s revue traces the legacy of the great male singers whose vocal prowess made them the rock stars of their generations, even before rock was born. After starring as Frankie Valli for six years in that other hit musical, “Jersey Boys,” Spector wraps his critically-praised voice around the songs that have made superstars out of more than a century of legends from Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson to the great Enrico Caruso himself.

Saturday, June 14, 8 p.m. $52 and $47. Landmark on Main Street’s Jeanne Rimsky Theater, 232 Main St., Port Washington. (516) 767-6444 or
