A bubbling experiment at the N. Bellmore Library

Posted

North Bellmore children recently escaped the summer heat and took part in "Bubbleologists" at the North Bellmore Library. The children,in grades one to six, learned about the science and magic behind bubbles from Gina Van Bell of the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum.

The children conducted hands-on experiments. They learned how bubbles react to different surfaces and properties. And they were taught how whales use bubbles to hunt. To top it all off, the children created colored bubble art with straws.
