All Bellmore-Merrick school district budgets passed by wide margins on May 20.
In the Bellmore School District, residents voted at the Shore Road School. North Bellmore residents casted their ballots at the Newbridge Road School. Merrick voters went to the Levy-Lakeside School, while North Merrick residents voted at Harold D. Fayette Elementary School.
Voters had the oppurtunity to elect trustees to their district's Board of Education. All trustee candidates ran unopposed and were elected. Here’s the breakdown:
In Bellmore –– Jay Breakstone, with 584 votes
In North Bellmore –– John Ferrara, with 1,199 votes
In North Merrick –– Jonathan Butler, with 518 votes, and Lisa Katz, with 467 votes
