Chamber to host annual Santa run

Santa Claus will arrive in the Bellmores for a pre-Christmas visit sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores on Friday, Nov. 25. Santa will be whisked around the community in a Bellmore Fire Department engine, making stops at the following locations:

9 a.m. –– The North Jerusalem Road shopping center between Bellmore and East Meadow avenues.

9:30 a.m. –– The Stop & Shop shopping center at Newbridge Road and Jerusalem Avenue.

10 a.m. –– The Ace Hardware shopping center at Merrick Road and Bellmore Avenue.

10:30 a.m. The Bellmore firehouse on Pettit Avenue in Bellmore Village.

11 a.m. –– The Bellmore Movies next door to the firehouse, at which, in addition to meeting Santa, children will also be able to see a free, family-friendly movie, compliments of the Bellmore Chamber and Anne and Henry Stampfel, the theater’s owners.

The Bellmore Chamber is taking part in the U.S. Marine Corps’ annual Toys for Tots program. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Santa run for a child in need. For more information, call the chamber office (516) 679-1875.
