Cooling off at Newbridge pool

With temperatures surpassing the 90-degree mark more times than many local folks would like this summer, children and parents alike are taking refuge at the Town of Hempstead’s Newbridge Park Pool in Bellmore, which offers relief from the heat under the watchful eyes of certified lifeguards.

The pool also has a youth swim team, the Newbridge Dolphins, for those under age 16. The squad competes against other local swim teams and practices daily. For swimmers looking to improve their water skills, lessons are also available for all levels. Or you can simply enjoy a swim.
