Third- and fourth-graders in the Bellmore School District recently had loads of fun in the sun while celebrating the end of the school year during their annual field day.
June 10 was a day full of physical activity and friendship for the Winthrop Avenue Elementary School students. Each class was assigned a color to wear to differentiate teams during the field events. The students took part in myriad activities, including relays, dodge ball, kickball and tug-of-war. Parents and school officials also handed out ice pops at the end of the day to help students cool down.
Children at the Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center participated in similar activities on June 3.
