Loads of luxury at Bellmore's Red Door spa

If you need a day of self-indulgence and luxury, look no further than the new Red Door Spa by Elizabeth Arden on Merrick Road in Bellmore. The spa opened its signature red doors last week.

The well-known brand offers the finest in day spa services and a long list of options to meet customers’ various needs. Red Door Spa’s skincare is like no other, offering a Diamond Tip and Organic Flower Peel Microdermabrasion facial, unique to the brand. The facial, like all of the company’s services, pays specific attention to the customer’s potential skin sensitivities. The spa offers numerous options in skincare as well as massage and body treatments, nail treatments and makeup services.

The ability to find a treatment that fits everyone is what makes Red Door Spas stand out from the rest, Bellmore General Manager Lindsay Bavolar said. All Red Door Spas, especially the Bellmore location, focus on customer service. “We set ourselves apart from other spas strictly by out customer service,” Bavolar noted. “We try to go above and beyond”

Customers first entering the new location will know immediately they are in for a grand experience. The building is luxurious, with high vaulted ceilings and ornate chandeliers in every room. The location’s grandeur differs from other Red Door Spas, Bavolar said. The location, which previously housed a spa, needed little construction, just updating and Red Door touches. The vaulted ceilings and chandeliers were part of the location, and Red Door decided to leave them intact — a beautiful decision. People who enter the spa have told Bavolar and the staff that “it looks like a little castle.”

The Bellmore location has highly trained staff on top of its grand space and indulgent services. The hair salon is the focal point of this location, sitting at the center of the spa under a large chandelier. All of the cut and color specialists were trained at the Fifth Avenue flagship store before the opening in Bellmore. Bavolar noted that while the staff at all 31 locations throughout the country are trained to meet Red Door standards, the staff at the Bellmore location is the only to have been trained by the flagship’s famous specialists.
