Overcast Local officials present Insurance Resource Center in Merrick
State Insurance Department representatives answering questions in North Merrick

From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, representatives from the New York State Insurance Department will be at the Merrick Road Town Park on 2550 Clubhouse Road in North Merrick.
Residents seeking answers about insurance and other relief or reimbursement programs in the wake of Hurricane Irene are welcome to come down and ask any questions.
The representatives, acting as a “mobile resource center,” will address questions related to private insurance claims and other programs, including FEMA programs.
The resource center is being presented by local elected officials, including Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, Councilwoman Angie Cullin, New York State Senator Charles Fuschillo and New York State Assemblyman David McDonough.
