Nine Calhoun seniors to play college ball

Seven members of the Calhoun High School varsity baseball team, one member of the boys’ varsity lacrosse team and one member of the girls’ varsity soccer team have signed letters of intent to play college ball next year. Three will attend Division I schools; five, Division II schools; and one, a Division III school. They are, at left, not in named order, Sal Armao, who will attend Southern Connecticut University to play baseball; Zach Goldstein, the University of Southern New Hampshire, baseball; Michael Grossane, Clark University, baseball; Mary Hijazi, Mahattan College, soccer; Cole Kalibat, Tampa University, lacrosse; Alex Rodriguez, Caldwell College, baseball; Frank Trimarco, Monmouth University, baseball; Alex Vargas, Delaware State College, baseball; and Tom Viverito, Farmingdale State College, baseball.
