Police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to entice a 10-year-old North Merrick boy to get into his car.
Police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to entice a 10-year-old North Merrick boy to get into his car.
According to Nassau County police, on Sunday at 3:55 p.m., the boy was riding his bicycle at Hendrickson Avenue and Grove Street when a man driving a blue Honda CRV with a gold New York registration cruised along beside him and asked him if he wanted to get into the car. The boy rode his bike home and immediately called the police.
Police do not have the license plate number, but described the man as around 60 years old, balding, with gray hair. He fled the scene northbound on Hendrickson.
Police ask that anyone with information about the incident call 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
