Trick-or-treat at Connect Church

Posted

Folks from near and far found plenty of treats at Connect Church’s annual fall festival on Halloween.

Children and adults alike donned costumes at the festival, which was held outside the church, at 2658 Corner Lane in south Bellmore. From 4 to 8 p.m., they enjoyed activities, performances and loads of free candy, all thanks to the church.

The festival featured a giant, inflatable obstacle course, a video game truck, games, musical performances and a live DJ, puppet shows, face-painting and food. Church Pastor John Gravagna said it was a safe place for families to have a fun, memorable time.

This was the second fall festival at the church, whose members have taken part in events sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores and their own charity initiatives. Last year, the congregation collected food for Thanksgiving meals for Long Island families in need.
