Rush-hour collision in Lynbrook

Mid-morning traffic came to a standstill in Lynbrook Tuesday on Hempstead Avenue, near Peninsula Boulevard, as a result of an accident at that busy intersection. Lynbrook Police and the Lynbrook Fire Department’s emergency medical company and extrication team responded to the scene, as well as Nassau County emergency vehicles. The two drivers involved suffered only minor injuries and were transported to South Nassau Communities Hospital in two county ambulances.
