Clouds part for Emil Stucchio and the Classics

Brief rain shower doesn’t dampen TOH concert at Hewlett Point Beach

Posted

Emil Stucchio and The Classics entertained the audience on the beach at Hewlett Point as part of the Town of Hempstead’s musical Summer Series on July 13. Stucchio has lived in East Rockaway since 1964.

Even a 10-minute downpour shortly into the performance couldn’t damped the crowd’s enthusiasm, and soon the clouds parted as the group sang standards from the 50s and 60s.

Emil Stucchio and the Classics first received a recording contract in 1959 and their first release “Cinderella” hit the national Top 100. They have received national acclaim for their top-selling CDs. They continue to receive rave reviews from audiences and producers from coast to coast, including Atlantic City and Las Vegas.

From fifties to standards, from Italian to today’s sounds, their shows are sprinkled with light, familiar comedy banter and the crowd eats it up. They are truly a class act.
