Arrests
On March 14 at 11:53 p.m., A 40-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with a village code violation, failing to clean up dog feces (warrant), on Atlantic Avenue.

At 3:07 p.m. on March 15 a 56-year-old Hempstead  man was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle on Webb Avenue in Hempstead.

On March 16 at 5:20 p.m., a 17-year-old  Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property and unlawful possession of marijuana on Merrick Road.

A 45-year-old Hempstead man was arrested and charged with grand larceny at CVS

On March 17 at 4 p.m., A 31-year-old  Hempstead man was arrested and charged with grand larceny at CVS on 633 Merrick Rd.

Theft offenses

Between March 11 at 11 p.m. and March 12 at 9 a.m., an unknown person(s) removed a dumpster from Atlantic Avenue in East Rockaway.

Identity theft

At 9:45 a.m. on March 14, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) used their Visa debit card number on seven different occasions. The total amount of charges is $3,313.83.

Grand larceny

n On March 15 at 9:30 p.m., A complainant reported that an unknown person(s) removed their pocketbook from their auto while it was parked Broadway. The pocket book contained the complainant’s ID, debit card and checkbook.
n At 5 p.m. on March 16, the complainant, Advantage Toyota located at 639 Merrick Rd., reports that an unknown person(s) removed 16 catalytic converters from their vehicles parked in the private parking area of 691 Merrick Rd. The total amount of the loss is $42,742.

Attempted identity theft

On March 18 at 2:10 p.m., the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) attempted to open a Target credit card in their name and charge $190.47 worth of merchandise to the account.
