Crime Watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

On On Feb. 8, a 21-year-old Valley Stream man was arrested by Lynbrook police detectives and charged with menacing in the second degree and leaving the scene of an accident, which occurred at Merrick Road and Horton Avenue in Lynbrook on Feb. 4.

On Feb. 9 at 9:10 p.m., a 21-year old Valley Stream man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, which occurred on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook.

On Feb. 11 at 11:26 p.m., a 33-year-old Baldwin man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, which occurred at Merrick Road and Earle Avenue in Lynbrook.

Burglary

On Feb. 14 art 2:04 p.m., a resident reported a burglary of their residence on Cammerer Avenue in East Rockaway. According to police, tools were stolen.

Tire theft attempt

On Feb. 10 at 1:25 a.m., Lynbrook police found that an attempted larceny of tires and rims had occurred at Legacy Infinity, 855 Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook. According to police, lug nuts from a 2011 Infinity had been removed by an unknown suspect and a backpack containing gloves, tools and other items was located at the scene.

Grand larceny

On Feb. 8 at 4:20 a.m., Lynbrook police patrol officers observed a suspicious male in the rear of Legacy Infinity, 855 Sunrise Hwy. , Lynbrook. According to police, the male suspect fled the scene and his 2003 Honda was found. Police said the vehicle contained tires and rims valued at $5,000 that had been taken from Legacy Infinity. The male suspect has also caused $1000 in damage to two automobiles parked at that location. Lynbrook Police and Nassau County Fifth precinct are investigating the incident.
