The East Rockaway Fire Department hosted a Fire Prevention Expo at the Grant Avenue Firehouse last Friday.
Families learned about fire safety and emergency techniques. Children took rides on fire engines and got the chance to meet the village’s fire chiefs and firefighters. The departments provided free gifts, games and treats for residents. The event was held in observance of Fire Prevention Week.
