Mark dejak, of Long Beach, was killed when his motorcyle struck a bus that was turning left on Lawson Boulevard in Oceanside March 17.

A Long Beach man was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident on Lawson Boulevard in Oceanside Wednesday, March 17. Police said Mark Dejak, 21, formerly of Lynbrook, was driving his motorcycle north on Lawson when he hit a bus turning left across the northbound lanes into a school bus parking lot just before 5 p.m.
Dejak was tossed from his motorcycle and transported to South Nassau Communities Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said the driver of the bus, Faye Smith, 66, was not injured, and they do not suspect any criminality. There were no other passengers on the bus.
