Join in the fun in your neighborhood this Halloween:


East Rockaway
hosts Halloween parade in park: Join your fellow residents at the village’s 1st annual Halloween Parade on October 29 in Memorial Park from 1-4 p.m. Children and parents are to meet on Denton Avenue (behind the stage on Memorial Park) to start the parade. D.J., candy corn contest, apple bobbing contest, Mummy relay race (child and parent wrapped in toilet paper); Performance by the Dance Space. Costume contest at 3:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, arrangements will be made to gather at the Senior Center adjacent to the park.


Halloween Havoc in Lynbrook: Sunday, Oct. 30, Atlantic Ave. in Lynbrook, noon to 3 p.m., (rain date: Monday, Oct, 31at Greis Park, 3 to 6 p.m.) Costume Parade line-up is at 11:30 a.m. in the Earle Ave. Parking Field at St. James Place. Obstacle Course, Magician 1-2 p.m. Prizes, bouny house, slide, D.j., candy apples, popcorn, trick or treats, pumpkin and cookie decorating. Go through the Spooky Walk — if you dare! noon to 2 p.m.


Knights host Halloween bash: The Knights of Columbus is hosting a Children’s Halloween Party on Monday, Oct. 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the St. Raymond’s School cafeteria. Free admission, food, fun, games. The school is located at 263 Atlantic Ave., East Rockaway.
