Joe LaRocco: Through the years

After we named longtime Lynbrook resident and Chamber member Joe LaRocco as the Herald’s Person of the Year in the Dec. 31, 2009-January 6. 2010 issue, his grand-nephew, P.J. Cirino, shared some old photos of his great-uncle with us.

Although too late for the story, we knew that those who know Joe — and those who haven’t had the pleasure of meeting the 91-year-old yet — would enjoy seeing these photos of him.

In the undated middle photo, Joe, at right, is posing with his brother, Tommy, and his sister, Josephine, Cirino’s grandmother.

We are not sure what he is doing in the bottom left picture: anyone have any idea?
