Lynbrook, East Rockaway schools hold reorganization meetings

At its annual reorganization meeting on July 5, the Lynbrook Board of Education reappointed two members to the Board and elected its officers for the 2011-2012 school year.
Incumbents Alicemarie Bresnihan and Ellen Marcus were officially reappointed. Catherine Papandrew retained her position as President of the board, in a unanimous vote. William Kayen and Ellen Marcus were also unanimously reelected to their positions as Vice President and Secretary, respectively.

East Rockaway
In the East Rockaway School District, Neil Schloth, who ran unopposed to retain his trustee seat in March’s election, was appointed the new president of the school board, replacing Linda Schmidt. Michaelene Abbott-Cooper was named vice president, and Patricia Nicoletti was appointed the new secretary. Schmidt and Kristin Ochtera will complete the five-member board.
