A Lynbrook man and two others were arrested for robbing a Chinese food restaurant in Valley Stream this week.

According to detectives, on Tuesday, Sept. 8, the defendants, Andrew Alonge, 19, of Lynbrook, Nicholas J. Vaccaro, 20, of Elmont and Stephanie M. Ambrosio, 18, of North Valley Stream, acted in concert and robbed the Kim Wong Chinese Kitchen located at 529 West Merrick Rd. in Valley Stream.

At approximately 10:25 p.m. on Sept. 8, police said Alonge and Ambrosio took a taxicab from Ambrosio’s house to the vicinity of the Kim Wong Kitchen. Alonge, armed with what appeared to be a black handgun, then walked into the restaurant and robbed the storeowner of an unknown amount of money. He then fled on foot and met Ambrosio on Casper St., where the two fled the scene in a second taxicab, which Ambrosio had waiting for them.

After an investigation by Fifth Squad Detectives, Alonge and Ambrosio were arrested on Woods Street, Lynbrook without incident. Detectives then determined that Vaccaro had supplied Alonge with a black BB gun, which was used in the robbery. He was arrested at his residence. All three defendants were charged with first-degree robbery and were arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on September 9.

Detectives also charged Alonge with two additional counts of first-degree robbery, one for a robbery police said he committed on Aug. 12 at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 351 Scranton Ave, Lynbrook. In this robbery, the defendant entered the store armed with a knife and stole an unknown amount of money. The other robbery occurred on Sept. 7 at the USA Gas Station, located at 562 W. Merrick Road in Valley Stream. Vaccaro and Alonge were both charged with first-degree robbery for this incident.
