The New York Theatre Ballet brings its version of two classic ballets, Carnival of the Animals and Sleeping Beauty, to Tilles Center, Sunday, May 2, at 2 p.m. The concert hall will be transformed into a fairyland by these two works, part of New York Theatre Ballet’s Once Upon a Classic series for ages three and up. Beautiful costumes, stunning scenery, and brilliant dancing bring these two fairy tales to life. Carnival of the Animals follows two children as they explore a magical forest. You will meet Queen Diana and her shaggy lion, along with a charming assortment of animals. The beloved story of Sleeping Beauty comes alive through dance and the enthralling music of Tchaikovsky. Family workshops take place before and after the show.
