Taking one for the team

Lynbrook High School Varsity Baseball Coach Al Marrazzo took one high and tight for the Lynbrook Diamond Club — a newly-formed booster club supporting Lynbrook Owls Baseball.

When Lynbrook Diamond Club membership came to him with the idea of a head-shaving fundraiser, Marrazzo, not one to lose his head, agreed to lose his hair. “Anything for the boys,” he said.

Club members, students, friends and colleagues all pitched in to see Marrazzo get buzzed. The event raised over $700 for Lynbrook Baseball. The club is currently seeking new members. Anyone interested can go to www.LynbrookDiamondClub.com to join or to make a donation.
