These Rocks are poppin'

East Rockaway Robotics Team qualifiers

East Rockaway Middle School Robotics teams participated in the Long Island F.I.R.S.T. Lego League regional qualifying tournament on Saturday, Feb. 4, here team “PopRocks” took first place in the Robot Programming and Design category. This qualifies them to participate in the Long Island Finals at Longwood High School on Mar. 6.

The overall winner of this event will go on the 2011 World Festival held April 27 through 30, 2011 at the America’s Center and Edward Jones Dome Convention Plaza in St. Louis, MO.
