Perry Como’s life and career is celebrated in a musical tribute on the occasion of the singer’s 100th birthday when Hofstra University presents the world premiere of “‘Till the End of Time’ – Perry Como at 100,” on Saturday and Sunday, July 21-22. The loving and memorable revue features an ensemble of special guest vocalists, including Hofstra’s Bob Spiotto, with The Big Apple Band. “We are celebrating the life of one the finest crooners ever,” said Spiotto, of Como, whose career spanned more than 50 years. “Everyone has memories, whether its seeing him at Westbury Music Fair or listening to his songs for so many years. We are thrilled to be able to share with our audience this wonderful music and memories of this wonderful man.”

The program, interspersed with anecdotes from the singer’s life, includes a range of highlights from Como’s long and varied career, including American standards, movie songs, show tunes, with a bit of “Christmas in July” thrown in.

Tickets are $30, $25 seniors, $20 students, $15 Hofstra faculty/staff/student with current HofstraCard; available at (516) 463-6644 or www.hofstra.edu/hofstraentertainment.
