The cast of Elmont Memorial High School’s senior high production of “In the Heights” wowed audience members with their incredible vocal and acting abilities on Feb.27-28.

The production, which was directed by Elmont Memorial’s Music Department Chairperson Eileen Kramer and volunteer Ed Kennedy, tells the story of a tightknit community located in New York City’s Washington Heights.

Students’ vocal and dance performances were accentuated by an incredible orchestra and beautiful set designs that brought the story to life for all those in attendance. Kramer expressed her pride in all of the students who took part in the show, saying “In the Heights reached the highest height.”
