NCMA’s Family Day
Bring the family to Nassau County Museum of Art for a special day at the museum. Take the kids on a docent-led walk-through of the current exhibition, “Francisco Goya: Los Caprichos.” The exhibit showcases a set of 80 etchings produced by Francisco de Goya y Lucientes in 1799 that are considered some of the most influential series of images in the history of Western art, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Also, spend some time in NCMA’s sculpture park, which features over 50 works, many of them monumental in size. For more outdoor fun, this is a great time of year to explore the museum’s 145 acres include many nature trails through the woods, ideal for family hikes.
