Nearly 400 attended the Elmont Cardinals Sports Club’s annual Family Day, held on Oct. 8, at the Dutch Broadway Elementary School Field in Elmont, for the families of the Cardinals’ football and basketball teams.

The event included double-lane slides, a three-legged race, an obstacle relay race, a potato sack race, double-dutch and basketball contests, face-painting, airbrushed tattoos, a sand art table, raffles, prizes and music by DJ Malik. Ava Walker is the club’s executive coordinator and community liaison. Michael Mitchell is the club’s second vice president and football director.
