House fire in Elmont

The fire originated in the kitchen of this one and a half story home, Elmont F.D. said

The Elmont Fire Department responded to a house fire on Madison Street on Feb. 14.

When fire fighters arrived on the scene, Assistant Chief Ronald Conti reported a working fire in the kitchen of the 1 and a half story home. More units arrived on the scene and the fire was quickly extinguished. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
