For nearly 50 years, New Park Haircutters has been a fixture in Rockville Centre — an upscale barber shop with a personal touch. When ownership recently changed hands, the new owner preserved its name, renovated the shop, and reinvented its concept. New Park Haircutters is now a full-service salon for women, men and children.

Owner Gino Imperiale is a well-seasoned and well-known stylist who specializes in women’s haircuts. He has been in the industry for more than 30 years, having trained at Nubest & Co. Salon in Manhasset. He also operates Salon Imperiale at the Garden City Hotel. Understanding the latest trends, he uses them to create the most flattering look for each individual customer.

To expand the women’s end of the salon, Imperiale brought in Daniela and Trisha, who trained together at Aveda New York Institute and worked in top salons in Manhattan. Both specialize in women’s precision cutting, and are colorists, using Goldwell hair color and Rusk products. Among the color options, one can choose from permanent, semi-permanent, low-lites and hi-lites. To achieve smoother looks for their clients, Daniela and Trisha can provide Keratin treatments or Keratin blowouts, or use a Rusk Anti-Curl Thermal Str8 process.

New Park Haircutters continues to offer men the best in barber shop and grooming services. As before, men can enjoy excellent haircuts, coloring, facials with Stim-U-Lax, and the ultimate in hot towel shaves.

The newly renovated décor is sleek and chic. The salon is furnished with black leather chairs, hardwood floors and coordinating wood stations, and a comfortable waiting area with flat screen TVs. Children can enjoy their experience while sitting in a red jeep-shaped hair-cutting chair.

Imperiale and his talented staff have a knack for creativity and individuality, and strive for exceptional customer service. Whether a customer comes in for maintenance, such as a trim and/or touch-up, or a total new look, like a different hairstyle and/or color, they provide one-on-one personalized service. Goals are set to help every client feel their very best, resulting in the look he or she desires.

New Park Haircutters has recently expanded its hours. The salon is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
