Old Bethpage Village's End Of Summer Celebration
Enjoy Labor Day weekend the old-fashioned way, as the spirit of the mid 19th century comes alive at Old Bethpage Village. Picnic to the sounds of fiddle music, the Old Bethpage Village Military Band Sextet, and dancers performing the steps of the day. Craftspeople feature the art of decoy carving. Also be sure to watch those ‘boys of summer’ when the celebrated Old Time Base Ball Leagues play their matches.

Fine Arts Festival
Craft artists and designers display their varied creations when Eisenhower Park hosts the Long Island Fine Arts Festival. Artists from throughout the region will set up displays in the park to showcase their original works. These nationally recognized artisans work in a variety of mediums, presenting painting, sculpture pottery, textiles, and more. Browse among a wide range of artistic treasures and gift items that are sure to please family and friends.

Art Adventures

NCMA’s Family Day
Bring the family to Nassau County Museum of Art for a special day at the museum. Take the kids on a docent-led walk-through of the current exhibition, “Richard Avedon: Photographer of Influence.” The exhibit showcases the renowned photographers compelling images. Supervised art activities are also featured, beginning at 1:30 p.m. In addition, spend some time in NCMA’s sculpture park, which features over 50 works, and stroll among the musuem’s 145 acres, ideal for family hikes.
