Sewanhaka High School juniors Christopher Melton and Martha Williams received honorable mentions for their “Let Them Eat Cake” entries in the Long Island Family and Consumer Sciences (LIFACS) Professionals Challenge.

The LIFACS Challenge is held annually for middle and high schools students as a way to promote Family and Consumer Sciences Education and provide students the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills. This year’s entries were judged on creativity, representation of a theme, level of difficulty, execution and pictorial representation.

In addition to remaining committed to their academic studies, Christopher and Martha run an online pastry business. To read more about their online business please visit http://pastryroyalty.wix.com/mcpastryroyalty.
