Alfred Lobel’s beloved Frog and Toad come to life in a charming musical production, “A Year With Frog and Toad,” presented by Nassau Community College’s Department of Theatre and Dance, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 9-10 and Oct. 16-17, at 2 p.m.
The musical is based on Lobel’s popular series of children’s books. Each book contains five simple, often humorous short stories chronicling the exploits of a frog and his toad friend. The two have specific personality and appearance traits: Frog is taller, friendlier and more relaxed than Toad; Toad is short and stout. He’s also more serious and irritable than Frog.
