Homecoming

Celebrating the green and white at North

Posted

After a special senior breakfast hosted by the Spartan Parents Club, students took to the streets under sunny skies. Proud freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors, and even junior high students, drove and marched in an early afternoon parade to kick off this year’s Homecoming festivities at Valley Stream North High School on Saturday.

This year’s king and queen, Nihal Hameed and Madeline Nelson, smiled on their float. Students also displayed New York City-themed banners celebrating each respective class. The Spartan Marching Band and cheerleaders celebrated the green and white school pride.

Later, senior athletes and their families were honored with flowers. After visitors lined the stands, the football game got underway. By the end, Valley Stream North lost 20-14 to East Rockaway.
