Overcast Elmont school deemed 'school of excellence'

Dutch Broadway School in Elmont has been named a 2020-2022 School of Excellence by the National Parent Teacher Association.
A distinction granted to only nine schools on Long Island and 23 schools statewide, Elmont’s Dutch Broadway School was awarded for the level of partnership with its PTA. This relationship, according to a statement released by the school district, helps to “enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students.”
“Dutch Broadway’s PTA has worked hard to bring programs and assemblies to our school,” Principal Cynthia Qasim said.
