Isseks named assistant principal at Carey

Marc Isseks, who currently serves as chairman of the H. Frank Carey High School's Social Studies Department, and coordinates social studies at the Sewanhaka High School, was named an assistant principal of the H. Frank Carey High School on June 12, at the Sewanhaka Central High School District's monthly Board of Education meeting.

Isseks is taking the place of Lorraine Wright, who retired during the 2011-12 school year, and will be joining Carey's other assistant principals, Sharon Collins and John Kenny. Isseks has been acting as assistant principal at Carey for the past six months, and will begin officially serving in his new position on July 18.

Isseks began working in the Sewanhaka district in 2002, as a social studies teacher at Floral Park Memorial High School, and served as a social studies teacher at Carey from 2005 to 2011.
