A large crowd gathered outside the Franklin Square & Munson Fire Department for the tree lighting last Friday night.

ew places in Nassau County were as festive as Franklin Square last Friday night, as community members and Franklin Square/Munson Firefighters came together to light the community Christmas tree.
The tree lighting, attended by residents throughout the community, has become a tradition, as has the presence of a certain jolly-old elf to hand out candy and take photographs with local children.
