A festive atmosphere enveloped Freeport and its neighboring areas on Dec. 2 as hundreds of families gathered for a joyous holiday celebration.

Commencing the night’s festivities, the village Christmas tree at the Freeport Recreation Center was illuminated, setting the stage for the seasonal revelry. Subsequently, the festive spirit continued to flourish with the lighting of another Christmas tree at the Nautical Mile Esplanade on Woodcraft Avenue.

The excitement reached its peak as attendees congregated along the docks to witness the much-anticipated Nautical Mile Holiday Boat Parade. A multitude of holiday-themed boats adorned with dazzling lights embarked on a luminous hour-long procession down the Woodcleft Canal. The parade route spanned from the Nautical Mile, past Sea Breeze Park, to Randal Bay, creating a picturesque display of holiday cheer that captivated onlookers.
