Mostly Cloudy Freeport Police Department hosts open house

Residents had the opportunity to attend an open house at the Freeport Police Headquarters where they asked questions and learned about the police department.

Residents had the chance to meet local peace officers and learn about the department’s safety measures during the Freeport Police Department’s Open House on Oct. 29. The Police Benevolent Association, joined by Mayor Robert Kennedy provided tables full of educational literature for the occasion, which was held on the picturesque grounds of the department’s headquarters at Freeport Police Headquarters. They even allowed some of the children to take photographs on their motorcycles.
