Freeport’s class of 2024 reveals it’s top 10

In a time-honored tradition at Freeport High School, the eagerly anticipated announcement of the senior class’s top 10 students took center stage. The revelation, a customary fall occurrence, remained shrouded in secrecy until the decisive moment when Principal Gisselle Campbell-Ham disclosed the names.

On the significant date of October 30, the long-awaited announcement unfolded, beckoning the top 10 students from the Class of 2024 to gather for their official recognition. The distinguished event was graced by the presence of Superintendent of Schools Kishore Kuncham and Board of Education President Maria Jordan-Awalom.

Heartfelt congratulations are extended to the following outstanding individuals who secured their positions in the top echelons of academic excellence: Jeremy Dominguez, claiming the prestigious title of valedictorian; Etienne Sasenarine, honored as salutatorian; Cassie Smith, securing the third spot; Suri Lin, positioned at number four; Julio Frometa Gomez, attaining the fifth position; Sejla Omeragic, ranked at number six; Evelyn Villalobos Rivera, securing the seventh spot; Betzaly Collado, positioned at number eight; Kevin Yang, recognized at number nine; and Naomi Belgrave, claiming the tenth spot.

“Congratulations on your outstanding academic achievements,” Superintendent Kishore Kuncham said. “You are the leaders and changemakers of the future and role models for those who follow in your footsteps. Your journey is just beginning, and I am confident you will be successful in all your endeavors.”
