Visit the Art Alcove at the Freeport Recreation Center

The Long Island Arts Council presents an exhibit of original oil paintings by Mark Zubrovich in the Art Alcove at the Freeport Recreation Center, 130 Merrick Road. The exhibit entitled, “Choose Your Champion,” features paintings that are “colorful, somewhat surreal and incorporate fantasies with self-exploratory themes and abstractions,” explained Joel Rossin, Exhibits Coordinator for the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport.

Mark is completing his senior year in the BFA program at the Conservatory of Art and Design at SUNY Purchase and is currently hard at work on a public art commission that will be on display starting this fall at the school.

He has also studied under Disney cartoonist Al Baruch at Hofstra University and NASA painter Attila Hejja at the Stevenson Academy of Fine Art.
