Career Day at Hegarty

Students in Grades K through 4 at Francis X. Hegarty School are getting an early start exploring potential careers as they recently participated in the school’s annual Career Day. Parents and professionals from a wide variety of occupations attended the event. They explained how they selected their professional careers and the required education and skills. They also fielded many questions from the students. Guest speakers included a comic book artist, nurse, librarian, firefighter, administrative judge, dental assistant, author, soldier, pastry chef, business owner, banker, fitness instructor, police officer, elected official, and fire chief.
