Money will help pay for Philip Califano’s medical treatment

Michael’s Porthole Waterfront Restaurant and Bar in East Rockaway hosted a special Las Vegas-style casino night to benefit Philip Califano, 7, of Oceanside, who is currently undergoing treatment for an inoperable brain tumor.
Philip was diagnosed last July, and the cost of his treatment is very expensive. Califano’s family travels to St. Jude’s Hospital in Tennessee every month and a half for chemotherapy.
The March 7 benefit raised about $3,000 to help with the cost of Philip’s medical bills.
The Califano family would like to thank everyone who participated in the event, as well as friends and family for continually offering their love and support.
